BAB - VIRTUAL MUSICIANS

Bringing these wild characters to life in explosive scenarios was nothing short of epic. Swipe to dive into the full-on badass adventures of our fearless duo!

RUNWAY SHOW
"Our characters swap outfits and hit the runway in style."
At the client’s request, the characters swapped outfits, which required re-weight painting and re-rigging to make them animation-ready. For the environment, I utilized my licensed asset library, while also applying lighting, hair, and cloth physics to bring the final animation to life.
REACTOR
"Oh, that one? I already tried to steal it. Next time, ask me for tips!"
To highlight the characters’ quirky sides, I was asked to design playful concepts. This one features the characters attempting to steal a reactor core, only to end up frozen in the process. The piece is also designed as a seamless animation loop. Both the concept and all visual effects, animation work were created entirely by me.
DON'T BE SAD HERE, TAKE A CHIP
"You really thought you could sit at a poker table with these two? Of course you’ll lose."
In this project, the client provided the scenario: you’re placed in a first-person perspective during a poker night defeat. During the animation process, I used the AI tool Cascadeur to smooth transitions between keyframes, while carefully ensuring that character actions, environment, and lighting movements worked seamlessly together.
GOTCHA!
"Nova, you’ll never learn, even the obvious ones get you every time!"
This concept showcases the characters’ playful yet ruthless sides. I created the laser effect with Blender geometry nodes and designed the glitch transitions in Premiere Pro.
ALL FIRE, NO HEAT
"I snatched this hologram straight out of a modern art gallery. What a piece, right?"
This scene captures the characters in a casual moment of their everyday lives. The flame effect was created entirely in Blender using geometry nodes, with textures also procedurally generated within Blender.
AND VESPER TAKES THE POINT
"What a shot, like a rocket! Nova, how many stars are you counting right now?"
After developing the street-baseball concept and storyline, I animated the characters accordingly. The final editing and sequencing were then completed in Premiere Pro.
DANCE MODE: ON
"Nova looks like a born dancer, while Vesper… well, let’s just call it unique style. What do you think?"
This scene highlights the characters practicing their own dance styles individually in front of a mirror. I designed the environment and animation flow to emphasize their distinct personalities, using synchronized camera movements to enhance the energy and presence of each performance.
SPILL THE TEA
"Oh Nova, calling me from downstairs? Fine spill it, this better be juicy."
This project was an exploration of new camera and lighting techniques. I focused on rapid, character-centered camera transitions to enhance the tension of the heated conversation, while experimenting with lighting setups to highlight subtle expressions and mood shifts.
BULLSEYE
"Training first, then fire! Just sit back and enjoy the show."
In this project, the characters’ weapons were conceptualized as music players, and I developed the idea that sound waves from these players could be used to hit targets. Using Blender’s Geometry Nodes, I created dynamic, rhythm-based rings that expand and intensify during each shot, enhancing the sense of impact. The environment was designed as a virtual shooting range, using neon colors to emphasize a futuristic and energetic atmosphere.
